Welcome to Lifestyle Systems!
Lifestyle Systems is a health and wellness company devoted to helping you understand your body through educational programs called systems. I started Lifestyle Systems in 2019 while working in NYC in the Fitness industry. During this time, I realized how confusing the fitness industry can be. Everyone has a different opinion and you will find one article saying that something is beneficial while another will oppose that viewpoint completely.
When searching for the best fitness program, I was bombarded with ridiculous claims with promises of having 6 pack abs in a month. Diets that claim you can lose all of your unwanted weight in weeks.
If someone is going to make a claim like this, I want to see the science... the data... the proof... However, I found only anecdotal success stories with limited data to support their claims. Rather than right off all of them, I decided to do the testing myself. I started testing all of these crazy diets circulating the internet, supplements, and exercise plans one at a time and documenting my journey.
All of my tests led me to understand how difficult it is to navigate getting healthy… It's tough. BUT!!! It doesn't have to be… the fitness and nutrition industry is just trying to confuse you... They deem themselves experts and start telling you what to buy or what diet to do. Inevitably, they want your money. They want you to think that there is a new magic pill or special diet that's better than the rest.
All they are doing is trying to sell you shortcuts. These companies manipulate you into seeing unrealistic expectations, which then make you feel worse for not living up to them.
So how is Lifestyle Systems different?
All my time testing has allowed me to create what I call Systems. Systems are designed to reboot your lifestyle. It's not a 30-day crash challenge; it's a way to build the correct habits to get you healthy for the long haul. Systems are meant to teach you the signs and signals your body sends. I'm your guide to cutting through all the BS and nonsense filling the fitness and nutrition industry. Getting healthy is easy and can be so much fun. It does require work and time, but it's not complicated.
The Systems!
Systems are a more simplistic approach focusing on all aspects of health and wellness through our three pillars, Fitness, Nutrition, and Mindset. Each System lasts 45 days and consists of a daily task and discussion on one of the pillars. For example, suppose the focus is Fitness. In that case, we might discuss the importance of stretching and mobility for recovery or why we need rest days. If we are talking about nutrition, we might discuss how to interpret the food labels correctly and some ways to optimize your portions easily.
I have also incorporated Mindset as one of my pillars. This is the most undervalued aspect of your overall health. So many people wrongfully overlook your mental well-being as an essential part of health. Your mental state has so much to do with your body's ability to change. If you are in perpetual stress, your body will actively work against you. We will talk about how to keep your hormones in check and keep you grounded. We need to get off the emotional roller-coaster to be at our best. Although stress is impossible to avoid, we will work on ways to mitigate the effects of stress on the body and learn to be the best versions of ourselves.

What makes Lifestyle Systems different than typical challenges is adaptability. Many other fitness and nutrition plans have set guidelines in the beginning and then nothing. No more follow-up and no more guidance. The problem with this strategy is that you don't learn what's working and unnecessarily shock the body. If I put you in a state of calorie restriction with a strenuous exercise plan, you will most likely see results. However, after the challenge and you resume regular eating habits, you end up undoing all your gains. The only way you know to replicate the results is to do the entire challenge again because you don't know the individual points that worked best for you.
The Systems are a progressive learning experience with gradual changes during the 45 days. This allows you to understand more easily what's working for you. No more unsustainable drastic changes. The best path to a healthy lifestyle is small incremental changes that can be sustained. Remember… Lifestyle, not diet… Each week will get a little more challenging by changing your diet, adding something to your fitness routine, or extending your mindfulness time.
This gradual change is not just me eliminating unhealthy things slowly. Diets are all about taking things away... At the start of any diet or challenge, it's a list of foods you can't eat but no guidance on what you CAN have. This is not how the systems work. Each time I take something away, I follow it with a healthy alternative. How are you supposed to know if I tell you everything you can't have but never give you other options? We will trade unhealthy options for healthy ones without wasting time searching for what to do.
Friendly Competition! Points and Tracking!
I hope you are excited and ready to get started with System One! But you might be asking... How do I keep track of everything!? I have created a points sheet and checklist for each day during the challenge so you can easily follow along. All you have to do is check off what you have completed and it will tally your points at the end of the day! I have incorporated fun bonus challenges for you to do throughout the System if you want a little bit of an extra push! This makes it a fun way to compete with your friends. Fitness and nutrition are so much easier with a group of friends. If you are ready to take on this challenge but need some encouragement, find a buddy and start together!
